Sandy or Terri will ask you to fill out an Introductory
Information Form, take your Blood Pressure, Temperature, Height and
Weight.
I will ask how I can help you, wanting to know the nature of
your problem, how long you have had it, and what you have had done
for it.
You will be given a gown. Undress. (Taking everything off but
your underwear).
The physical examination consists of examining the musculoskeletal
system as a whole for structural symmetry, range of active and passive
motion, and soft tissue quality and texture. This is to determine
which joints and muscles are dysfunctional. Standard examination
of the heart, lungs, abdominal and pelvic organs, eyes, ears, nose
and throat may be included depending upon the presenting problem.
The condition will also be evaluated from the perspective of Traditional
Chinese Medicine- energy balance and harmony.
I will tell you what I have found in the examination and give
my recommendation of treatment options available in conventional and
alternative medicine.
A treatment, along with home stretching and other "homework"
may be given following the examination and discussion of findings.
Treatment fees are in addition to the Evaluation and
Management fees.
Chronic conditions often require treatment for weeks or
months to achieve maximum medical improvement. A schedule of therapy
appointments and office visits of 3-5 per week is generally adequate
for the first month. A more intensive schedule, for patients coming
from out of state for a period of 1-6 weeks and those wishing to
shorten the duration of treatment time needed, may include both
morning and afternoon therapy daily.
Your evaluation will take between 60 and 90 minutes.
Please bring Medical Records, X-Rays, and Reports from other
Doctors and Hospitals for my review. |
